Being at the RFL Beach Glamour Party in the Hamptons

Saturday, June 26th, had me joining a benefit for the Reginald F Lewis Museum in Baltimore, dubbed as "Beach Glamour" at a summer house in the East Hamptons. I was delighted to have been given the opportunity to enjoy the party with a big number of people who came from all over the US, including those who flew to NYC just for the occasion. It's fun meeting up with friends, acquaintances, and other new faces whom I won't even have the chance to see and meet in my daily life. Of course, it's designed to be a professional networking event.

From what I observed, it's mostly attended by people who actively pursue their professional careers; I was actually looking forward to meeting other entrepreneurs who are working to build businesses mainly from scratch. I was not disappointed as I saw in person Loida Nicolas Lewis, a very successful entrepreneur in her own right, and who has pursued and continued the growth and development of businesses that both she and her husband worked on building up together while he was still alive (he passed away in 1993). I didn't wear the suggested colors (white, aquamarine) for the party ---as I never had the chance to buy something that I really like to wear for the occasion---so I ended up wearing a yellow shirt on white pants.

The beach looked so inviting, and has that certain exclusive allure --- houses that are along the beach are situated far and in between. I was happy the guests were soon allowed to walk on the beach. I can just imagine Fire Island must have looked like this beach before it became populated with guests, part-time or year-long residents.

Enjoy looking into the pictures I took, the whole set of which I turned into a collage.
