Moving On: 127 Hours

This musing maybe a bit of a stretch of the main subject matter of this blogsite. I just happened to prefer films dealing on travel. Yet, I realized during a Christmas eve dinner conversation that the film by Danny Boyle actually covers, in so many ways than one the topic about "moving on." It's not an easy movie to watch, even to bear thinking about. One of those around during that conversation remarked jokingly that it's all about 'the pain of separation.'

On the surface, it can be seen as a movie on 'survival' or even a 'horror' movie. It's a moving on film because it shows how one great individual has gone out of his 'usual' way to overcome his 'very real & pressing' predicament - and in the process, he decided he couldn't be stuck all the while awaiting for his time. Everything fell into their proper places, as many would like to say. Our protagonist in this film (based on a real life story) took the pain to simply overcome his situation, no matter how painful it would be for him. Watch why it's also about 'moving on' if you have the chance. Or you may just share me your thoughts on this, if you disagree or you have other views. Thanks!
